Afterschool Counselors

Do you enjoy working with children? We have several positions available in our Afterschool programs throughout Broward County elementary schools. The hours of the program are from 2pm - 6pm, Monday through Friday. In accordance with the State of Florida, all afterschool employees must be at least 18 years old, a High School Graduate, clear a local and federal background check, complete a 40 hour training course and First Aid/CPR Certification. JCC staff members must meet and/or exceed the required credentials by the School Board and Children and Family Services licensing departments. You must also have reliable transportation.

Job Responsibilities

• Counselors must supervise and direct a group of 10-20 elementary school aged children. Counselors will ensure the safety of the children as they take them through a daily schedule of activities including homework, computers, arts & crafts, character development, sports, reading, board games and more!
• Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
