Israeli Independence Day

The Soref JCC is proud to play a lead role in our community's celebration of Israeli Independence Day.  The Soref JCC celebrates at its Perlman Family Campus with exciting activities for our community that include the following:

History

In honor of Israel's special 60th birthday, our JCC participated at the Nova Southeastern University event hosted by the Jewish Federation of Broward County.  About 40,000 attended this event that showcased live entertainment in the university's gym.  The Soref JCC sponsored an eight-building exhibit by the Bureau of Jewish Education of Greater Boston called A Walk Through Jerusalem.  Thousands strolled through "gates" into rooms that featured poetry, music, games and artifacts from the city.
