We need your help so we can continue helping others. Your support allows us to provide free bags of groceries and provide vital scholarship assistance to those who need it most. Together, we can ensure that no one in our community is left behind, regardless of their background.

The Soref JCC is committed to supporting Broward County residents in need — children, seniors, and working families who rely on us for food, stability, and opportunity.

 

2. Soref JCC Primary Social Service Programs

  • WECARE Food Pantry provides free bags of non-perishable groceries to families, seniors, and children facing food insecurity.

  • Children’s Scholarship Program ensures that children from low-income households can participate in safe, enriching programs that help them grow and thrive.

 

3. We need your help now

Inflation has made basic necessities — food, housing, healthcare, gas — harder to afford. Many families are now struggling. Seniors on fixed incomes are skipping meals. Children are going to bed hungry.  Children from less fortunate families are being deprived of high-quality educational and recreational programs that are necessary for a bright future.

 

4. Here's how your donation will make an impact

 WECARE Food Pantry:

  • $4 a day ($120/month) feeds a hungry child.

  • $5 a day ($150/month) supports a senior couple living on Social Security.

  • $8 a day ($240/month) helps working parents feed their family.

 

Children's Scholarships:

Preschool tuition now exceeds $1,000 per month. After‑school care for elementary‑aged children averages $300 per month. Summer camp costs more than $1,200 per month.

For many young families in our community, these costs are simply out of reach. Parents are working hard, but rising expenses make it difficult to provide their children with the high‑quality educational and recreational programs they deserve.

Scholarship assistance is essential. Your support ensures that every child — regardless of their family’s financial situation — can learn, grow, and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.
