2026 Humanitarian of the Year Gala

What a Spectacular Evening at Green Glades Ranch

The Soref JCC held its 28th Humanitarian of the Year Gala on May 17th at the Green Glades Ranch in Weston.  Alligator Ron Bergeron received the Soref JCC's 2026 Humanitarian of the Year award in recognition of his tremendous impact on our Broward community.  From his staunch support of protecting the Everglades to his vast philanthropy, especially helping to ensure a bright future for our children, Alligator Ron was so deserving of this prestigious award.  Alligator Ali also received a Woman of Valor award for her tireless efforts to make a huge impact on our community.

Hundreds of people attended the event, enjoying great food, entertainment, and the beauty of the ranch.  Gabriel Key and his band wowed the audience with a spectacular country music performance, including line dancing that kept the party going late into the evening.
